Dr. Chavez was raised in Glendale, AZ. He completed medical school at Midwestern University-Arizona College of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship in Pain Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is double board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Dr. Chavez practiced as a Pain Interventionalist in Tucson, AZ for 6 years before returning to Phoenix.
Dr. Chavez utilizes his background in Osteopathy and Physiatry in diagnosing and treating his patients with a holistic approach with a goal of restoring function and quality of life. He enjoys helping patients with back and joint pain related to degenerative changes or injury with a goal of eliminating or prolonging the need for surgery but can also help with patients that have already had surgery and continue to have residual pain. He also enjoys utilizing the latest technologies in neuromodulation as additional tools in helping his patients.
DR. SHEBA SHAH
Dr. Sheba Shah, MD, M.Sc. is the founder of Orange Medical Pain Management. She is a double board-certified Interventional Pain Management Specialist. Dr. Shah was born and raised in Orange County, California and chose to pay homage to her roots by naming her practice after her birthplace.
Dr. Shah specializes in interventional pain procedures of the spine and regenerative medicine for the joints. Using her background in physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Shah has dedicated her practice to helping individuals suffering in pain attain the highest level of function possible through an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach. She thinks outside the box to offer her patients cutting edge treatment and the latest in technology.
She is a highly trained and skilled practitioner who genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being. Dr. Shah goes above and beyond to find solutions to painful problems and diseases for her patients. Her goal is to put the quality back into her patients’ lives in the safest and most effective way possible.
She says, “I have made it my life’s work not only to treat pain, but to understand pain. The greatest feeling I have as a physician is when my patients come back and tell me how their lives have improved and they can now do things that they thought they would never be able to do again.”
